How about a camera that can eliminate perspective such that identical
sized objects placed at different distances from the lens, show up the
same size in the image?

Or - if the front object takes up most of the conventional FOV, but you
can still see most of what is behind it...

And more mysterious things ...

Not 'seeing around corners' as he suggests, but assembling straight-line
images from the extremities of the rotary device to show as much as
possible of an object obscured from a simple centre-front position.
