I take an NEF.

What I call 'vivid' is what I would expect to see.

Screen-grab here (I think - Flickr seem us rather unintuitive to share):
https://www.flickr.com/photos/***@N07/53374044936/in/datetaken/

1 - View it with Windows 'Photos' viewer. Image initially comes up
vivid, then goes dull after 2 seconds.

2 - View it in Darktable, it comes up as in the dull image of 'Photos'or
moreso, and stays that way.

3 - View it in ACDSee it comes up vivid, and stays that way.

4 - View it in Irfanview , it comes up and stays vivid as in ACDSSee.

Thoughts ?

Some software will be using the existing preview from the camera or from
another software, while some software will generate their own (pre)view,
which takes a few seconds. And this view will have different settings
than the camera.
